What is it ?

The Auto-Resonating tuning fork is like any standard tuning fork with several improvements. The Auto-Resonating tuning fork never needs to be “struck” to begin vibrating, and it will vibrate continuously without interruption or needing to be struck at any time.

How does it work ?

The Auto-Resonating tuning fork operates on the principle of sympathetic resonance. A very small amount of electrical energy supplied by a battery, is used to create a pure sine wave with a frequency that perfectly matches the natural mechanical frequency of the tuning fork. When this frequency is applied to the tines of the tuning fork, it begins to vibrate consistently without the need to be “struck”. The tuning fork requires more energy initially to start the vibration, however once the vibration starts, the principle of resonance begins and the tuning fork requires very little energy to continue vibrating. As a result, the tuning fork will operate on a single battery for more than 40 hours of continuous use.
